Let’s
Unite to prevent heart disease and stroke!
Our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends are at risk. Heart disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year – more than all cancers combined. Fortunately, we can change that because 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.
Get informed about the risks of heart disease and stroke. Know the red flags. Know your heart health story. Go Red For Women inspires women to make lifestyle changes, mobilize communities, and shape policies to save lives. United, we are working to improve the health of women in your community
It’s time to put our hearts into it and Go Red For Women, so please join us at this year’s luncheon. The Grand Rapids Go Red For Women Luncheon draws more than 350 executives medical professionals, and community leaders together. The Grand Rapids Go Red For Women Luncheon is seeing great momentum and continues to grow year over year.
Beginning mid-morning, the event includes an array of activities such as silent auction, health screenings, and pampering. Our theme is Go Red Get Fit and we encourage attendees to wear their best fitness apparel and sneakers. Although many will be sporting their athletic wear, business professional is also appropriate. Don’t forget, red is our favorite color! At noon, guests will enjoy a heart healthy lunch, personal testimony by a local sudden cardiac arrest survivor, and our dynamic keynote speaker, Aliya Armstrong, who will be sure to make us all feel empowered about our health and wellness.
