Dear Circle of Red or Men Go Red Champion
As the co-chairs for Circle of Red & Men Go Red you have heard us speak about our own personal experiences and passion to impact our community, making a difference in the lives of people affected by heart disease & stroke.
So, as we get ready to celebrate Go Red for Women’s 15th "Ruby" Anniversary on February 8th, we wanted to again thank you for your support in 2018 and hope to see you continue to be part of our efforts for 2019.
The American Heart Association continues to be the relevant force for change to eradicate heart disease and stroke for women all over the world and the good news is as we continue to unite in a collective voice, raise awareness, support education, research and community action programs, the narrative is changing.
But, we are not done! It’s no longer just about wearing Red; It’s no longer just about sharing heart health facts. It’s about making a commitment to stand together with Go Red For Women and change the picture of heart and brain health in ourselves and our community.
Last year your support directly equipped a few local schools with materials to train students in Hands Only CPR; supporting a legacy of lifesavers. You also helped us achieve the largest Circle of Red/Men Go Red Membership in the nation, Amazing!
This year our goal will be to maintain our #1 position in the nation, but even more important your contribution will support a group of local high school girls to participate in the inaugural Go Red Go STEM spring 2019 event. Joining together with leaders in STEM industries, these young women will learn how to embrace their own heart & brain health and believe in their future career in STEM.
At this time, we are asking you to consider renewing your support of Circle of Red/Men Go Red by December 10, 2018. (wonderful for end of year charitable giving). We encourage you to renew your Circle of Red/Men Go Red donation of $500 by visiting www.heart.org/Kalamazoogored , call Kimberly for assistance at 269-808-2783 or send a check made payable to the American Heart Association, 2469 Woodlake Circle, Ste. 100, Okemos, MI 48864 (please indicate Kalamazoo in the note section).
By working together, we will impact women and their families to live longer, stronger lives and celebrate their Why. Because, when we all come together we impact a culture of health.
Sincerely,
Your 2019 Co-Chairs
